An Australian-themed operation for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has finally been unveiled. Ubisoft used the Six Invitational to reveal the gameplay and new Australian operators for Burnt Horizon.

Operation Burnt Horizon introduces an all-new Attacker and Defender, Gridlock and Mozzie. To help these operators feel at home, Ubisoft also unveiled a new map, Outback. If you’ve ever taken a drive along the remote highways of Australia, you’ll know exactly where the inspiration came from—Outback pays “homage to all the lonely service stations and motels along the forgotten highways across Australia’s beautiful, sunburnt land.”

Outback isn’t a large map, but it will require teams to master three sections: The Garage, Motel, and Restaurant. Each of these areas is visually unique, and due to the size of the map, players won’t need to go far to find alternative routes, which means players will need to keep their wits about them at all times. Naturally, ESL had a bit of fun with the announcement.

If you’re interested in testing out strategies in the Outback, the test server for Operation Burnt Horizon will go live on Feb. 18. Since this is a testing environment, though, small tweaks may be made prior to the map’s release. PC Windows players will have exclusive access to the test server and Outback will be available for everyone to play in season one of 2019.
