FaZe Clan’s star Fortnite: Battle Royale duo, Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, is destroying competitors even outside of the weekly Friday Fortnite tournaments.
Tfue and Cloak defeated Vikram “Vikkstar123” Barn and Erikas “ErycTriceps” Vaitkevicius in the grand finals of the $20,000 NerdOut Anything Goes Tournament on Sunday night, winning by 10 kills. The tournament was filled with some of the world’s most popular streamers, but they were no match for the pro players.
In each of their six matches in the event, FaZe secured more than 25 kills—they even finished with 54 kills in the winners bracket quarterfinals. While some teams looked like they may be able to take down Tfue and Cloak, FaZe’s incredible slaying and rotations proved to be too much for the likes of Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, Thang “SpaceLyon” Phan, and even Twitch star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

This tournament featured a slightly different ruleset than the Friday Fortnite series, where FaZe have run through some of the best in the world to win four titles. The difference between Friday Fortnite tournaments and the NerdOut Anything Goes event was that NerdOut’s competition allowed for teammate sabotage, making it possible for players to destroy their opponent’s structures while they were being used.
Despite the rule change, teams just can’t seem to find the formula to defeat Tfue and Cloak—and some would assume that won’t change when it comes to next week’s Friday Fortnite, too.
