TFT Reckoning Dawn of Heroes returns as second Revival set

The dawn of Radiant items is returning to Teamfight Tactics at the end of September through Set 5.5 Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes for the second Revival set.

Set Five in TFT will forever be remembered for Shadow items and the introduction of Radiant items. Players today are used to Radiant items, upgraded versions of regular items, but they were new to the scene when Set 5.5 launched. And yes, this was back when mid-sets still took place. Despite the chaos from Shadow items in Set Five, the mid-set was a huge success, leading to the addition of Radiant items as an evergreen mechanic in TFT. Players can experience this amazing set through the Revival mode when it hits the live servers on Sept. 25.

Players will get to experience the introduction of Radiant items to TFT and some new improvements added by the dev team with the Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes Revival set. When Set 5.5 was released, Augments were still a concept idea on the drawing table. The team has added a slew of Augments specifically for the Set 5.5 Revival support champions and traits. Two of those Augments were revealed today by Riot Games.

  • The MonstrousChoppe: An Augment for the Abomination trait where the Monstrosity equips Anax to do additional cleave damage. You also gain a Kalista and a Nunu.
  • Death Approaches: Has Thresh hook himself to the farthest enemy, dealing more damage on his next attack.

Players will have a new Ladder system for the TFT Revival game mode, even though it’s only available for a limited time. Ranking up will grant free rewards based on skill and rank levels. The Set 5.5 Revival team also added a Heroic Pengu Ceremony, which has the iconic Little Legend descend onto the board to grant a “blessing to help you power up your units,” according to Riot.

The TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes Revival set will be the second to drop, with the first being Set 3.5 Galaxies. And it won’t be the last. Relive or experience Set 5.5 for the first time when it’s released on Sept. 25.
