NICKMERCS has lashed streaming fans who’ve been calling him a “bad friend” for condemning Dr Disrespect amid the disgraced streamer’s attempted comeback, suggesting he won’t be extending any olive branches after cutting ties earlier this year.
In the fallout after Dr Disrespect admitted to sending messages to a minor through Twitch Whispers that “sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate,” NICKMERCS clearly and publicly distanced himself from the 42-year-old streamer. This firm stance, which he’s not changed since Dr Disrespect returned, has apparently now led to the star copping some serious flack from his streaming fanbase amid the Doc’s comeback.
NICKMERCS, who’s faced his own streaming controversies aplenty this year, didn’t mince his words in a swipe back at the fans and viewers flooding his livestream chat and social media messages. “This r——d Dr Disrespect is married with children, pushin’ 40,” the Kick streamer said in a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend. “Admits to texting a minor inappropriately. His words, not mine. So I cut ties, because obviously that’s inexcusable. Now I’m a shit friend for not having his back??? Bunch brain-rot morons on this app.”
He went on to confirm the man behind the Doc mask, Guy Beahm, had also privately messaged NICKMERCS and several others to apologize for them “being dragged into it” when everything was unfolding. That was the last time either interacted recently.
This outburst comes weeks after Nick declared he simply “can’t support” the Two-Time’s actions and said it all “feels a little weird” after they’d spent so many years costreaming together.
“People think we’re like best friends—I don’t even know the guy outside of a wig. We took one picture together, and, newsflash, he was in a wig, and we talked for eight minutes. Where the fuck is your head and your heart at to do things like that?”
Other streamers like TimTheTatman, who regularly streamed with Dr Disrespect, have also publicly condemned the disgraced entertainer. Said Tim, “I cannot support that.”
Dr Disrespect went live for the first time following the controversy last Friday. During that Sept. 7 broadcast, he suggested no one knows “the legal definition of sexting” and claimed he’d “emphasized [and] edited” his now-deleted statement to make sure anyone reporting on the incident would notice the changes. Hilariously, many of the Doc’s comments during his stream lined up with perfectly with how Asmongold predicted he’d play things.
The Doc hasn’t yet indicated how regular his next streams will now be. He hasn’t gone live again since that first five-hour YouTube broadcast and hasn’t shared any news on his next plans. When he does stream again, it will likely still be on YouTube.
However, word around Beahm’s Dr Disrespect plans is that he’s going to look into appearing on X for exclusive streams. He’s also trying to re-enable his YouTube pay.
