Trust Bethesda fans to put in the effort to fix problems the devs simply haven’t, which they certainly have with the Starfield Community Patch, which arrived today.
Starfield’s first Community Patch is now live, bringing with it plenty of bug fixes to the laundry list of errors still present in Bethesda’s space RPG more than a month after launch, and making things run smoother for players. These fixes remedy script errors, mission and quest faults, exploits, attribute problems, and even spelling errors.
Of course, to get these fixes you’ll need to install the mod, which means players on the Xbox version of Starfield will need to wait until Bethesda rolls out an official patch for these problems (however long that actually takes).
Fortunately, if you are a PC player looking to install this incredible patch, the mod team has included a detailed set of instructions to make the installation process simple. These can be found on the patches Nexusmods page. This mod is available for PC players whether they’re gaming on Steam or Game Pass.
In case you’re still on the fence, this Starfield mod fixes around 30 different problems, however, the team behind it has identified over 200 issues they are working to fix, so future updates will only make Starfield run better.
It was only a matter of time before something like this was made available as it continues to become a regular fixture for Bethesda titles. Previous games like Skyrim and Fallout have also received similar mods to make gameplay function as close to perfect as it can, courtesy of dedicated fans.
In an ideal world, there wouldn’t be a need for a mod like this, but given the scale of Starfield, it’s not likely all of these issues will be fixed by the devs anytime soon, so players can thank the modding community for getting things done.
