Twitch and PUBG Corp. have come together to create over 200 custom streamer skins for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to celebrate the opening of registration for Broadcaster Royale’s second season.
“Fans of Twitch love to celebrate and support their favorite PUBG streamers,” said John Howell, VP of Global Partnerships at Twitch. “By offering an unprecedented amount of skins tailored after these popular streaming personalities, it ensures fans can wear their hearts on both sleeves while supporting their favorite creators.”
Most of the skins, which include shirts, weapons, and other cosmetics, are based on participants of the first season of the Broadcaster Royale event. This duos tournament gives players the chance to compete against some of the biggest streamers on Twitch, like Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, Lil_Lexi, and Sacriel, for a shot at the $300,000 prize pool.
All of the items can be purchased from Twitch or through Steam, and up to 10 items will be given away exclusively to Twitch Prime users. But the items will only be on sale for the next three weeks.
Items from the set are being sold separately for $4.99 each or you can buy the Shroud four-item bundle for $14.99. Revenue from the sale of these items supports the Twitch streamer directly.
Anyone looking to take part in the second season of Broadcaster Royale can sign up on the tournament’s website. Registration closes on Sept. 25. Finals for the event will be held at TwitchCon in October. Winners will have the opportunity to create their own PUBG in-game items to sell as well.
