Here’s what you need to know about PGI 2018 Berlin

When is it happening?

The tournament takes place on July 25 to 29 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany,

What’s the format?

The tournament is split into two game modes with Squad first-person perspective happening for one half of the competition, followed by third-person perspective.

Twenty teams will jump into a match and fight it out for points that are awarded for kills and high placements across 16 rounds of play (eight rounds for each mode).

The team that scores the most points at the end of every round wins in that respective game mode.

Twenty teams from 12 different regions will battle it out in this competition. Each region was given their own qualifying event with a specific number of teams gaining entry to the final showdown. These teams include:

What’s the prize?

This tournament will have the biggest prize pool in PUBG history—and for good reason.

There’s $2 million worth of prize money to be shared between the competing teams depending on how they place. Half of that will be given to both the TPP and FPP championship, with the MVP of each match (a total of 16 matches) getting $10,000.

How do you watch the event?

You can watch the event live on PUBG’s official Twitch channel during all days of the event. The streams will also offer analyst insight and commentary to keep you up to speed regardless of when you decide to check in on the festivities.
