The exact end date for Overwatch’s competitive season five is August 28. You can find a countdown in the competitive season’s information tab in-game. Like with other seasons, you’ll have until then to earn competitive rewards. Players will continue to receive competitive points for hitting skill ratings.

  • SR 1-1499 (Bronze): 100 CP
  • SR 1500-1999 (Silver): 200 CP
  • SR 2000-2499 (Gold): 400 CP
  • SR 2500-2999 (Platinum): 800 CP
  • SR 3000-3499 (Diamond): 1200 CP
  • SR 3500-3999 (Master): 2000 CP
  • SR 4000-5000 (Grandmaster): 3000 CP

On top of that, you’ll be awarded 10 competitive points for each win. And what can you buy with competitive points? Golden guns. Each hero has a golden gun that’s only available with competitive points, and each costs 3,000 CP.

Likewise, you’ll also earn a spray and a player icon for playing competitive Overwatch in season five. If you’re skilled enough to reach top 500—and stay there for the duration of season five—you’ll earn a special player icon and spray.
