The event began on May 22, bringing a number of new skins and other cosmetics to Overwatch. A bunch of older seasonal content returned to the game for the Overwatch Anniversary 2018 event—and all of it will go back into the game’s vault until each respective seasonal brawl rolls around again.

But the good news is that there’s still a few hours left to play the Overwatch content. A double XP event is also ongoing, giving out extra experience points for playing the game.

Mei’s Snowball Offensive is scheduled as Overwatch’s rotating seasonal brawl for the last day of the event, too. Blizzard has been switching seasonal brawls in and out throughout the entirety of the Overwatch Anniversary event. Everything from Junkenstein’s Revenge and Overwatch Retribution have been available for players to try out during Overwatch’s second birthday celebration.

Overwatch continues to grow, even as the game pushes past its second birthday. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan revealed ahead of the event’s start that Blizzard’s first-person shooter reached the 40 million player milestone, up five million players since the game hit 35 million in October 2017.

The game’s growth has definitely slowed over the year, but it’s impressive for Overwatch to still pull in high numbers despite its age. Of course, we don’t know exactly what the 40 million total entails—it’s likely not active players, but instead the amount of copies the game has sold. Blizzard hasn’t confirmed any details about the player number.
