The Junkertown queen is just a voice and a poster, but the Overwatch community has made her come alive

When the Junkertown map went live on Overwatch’s PTR, players flocked to it for more information about Overwatch heroes Roadhog and Junkrat. But when they got there, they found something they never knew they wanted: The Junkertown queen.

She was once only a voice over a loudspeaker in the Junkertown preview video, but with the poster, we’ve got a face. And a badass weapon, cool haircut, and lots of spikes. Most Overwatch players are ready to bend the knee for their new queen.

Blizzard hasn’t made any mention of her becoming a playable character, but the community isn’t shy about expressing their desires. To celebrate her entrance into the Overwatch lore, fans have already created loads of Junkertown queen fan art.

If there’s a will, there’s a way. The community kept the Doomfist hype train alive until he was added as a playable character, so there’s hope for the Junkertown queen, too. After all, Doomfist was once just a line in a trailer, too.
