It all kicks off on July 24 with the group stage, and by the time the dust settles, one team will be crowned champions of the Esports World Cup 2024 OW2 event and be $400,000 richer. The top orgs will also earn EWC Club Championship points, meaning a larger share of the monstrous $20 million club prize.

Esports World Cup 2024 Overwatch 2 format and teams
The Overwatch 2 Esports World Cup 2024 event sees 16 teams from across the globe go head-to-head in a group stage, with the 16 attendees split into four groups of four. Each group will play a double round-robin format with two matches against each opponent. Each match is first to three.
The top-ranked team in each group will qualify directly to the quarterfinals of the single-elimination playoff bracket. Second and third-placed teams from each group begin a round earlier, while the fourth is eliminated.
