Prices for One Piece TCG Romance Dawn Leaders, Secret and Super Rares, and alternate art foils have skyrocketed following the BANDAI English launch, with a host of OP01 cards now worth money.
One Piece TCG made its official English debut on Dec. 2 and nearly immediately booster packs, starter decks, and boxes sold out across the U.S. and worldwide. While second and third-wave releases for these are starting to roll out, One Piece’s popularity has certainly spiked card prices for its early sets.
Right now, booster box prices for Romance Dawn are as high as $300 USD. Some vendors are selling second and third-wave releases for a more affordable $200, though they are few and far between.
Each One Piece TCG booster box—including set one—includes 121 cards. These can be Secret and Super Rares and some have alternate arts.
Most boxes contain the following:
- Eight Leader cards
- 45 Common cards
- 30 Uncommon cards
- 26 Rare cards
- 10 Super Rare cards
- One to two Secret Rare cards
Prices for Romance Dawn cards have already swung up and down since the set’s early December arrival, and are sure to climb as box openings slow down. The following prices are courtesy of TCGPlayer.
Best One Piece TCG Romance Dawn cards to pull
1) Shanks
The mysterious Red-Haired Shanks has the honor of being printed as One Piece TCG’s first-ever “Manga” rare. The alternate art pull is a special version of the Emperor’s nine-cost, 10,000-power Secret Rare and currently fetches as much as $950 USD on the secondary market. At launch, players were paying more than $2,000 to get their hands on the collector’s edition release.
The Shanks card, OP01-120, also comes in a Parallel Secret Rare version that sells for around $25 and a standard Secret Rare worth $10.
- Shanks Parallel Secret Rare AA — $920 to $950
- Shanks foil AA — $21 to $25
- Shanks Secret Rare — $10
2) Monkey D. Luffy
One Piece main character Monkey D. Luffy boasts several cards in Romance Dawn, with the most valuable being his alt-art Leader card, OP01-003. Right now, the dual-color Red and Green Leader sells for around $80 USD, while Luffy’s Super Rare Parallel fetches closer to $30. The Straw Hat captain’s promo cards, released outside booster packs, sell for up to $1,000 each.
- Luffy Leader foil AA — $75 to $80
- Luffy Leader — $1 to $2
- Luffy foil AA — $30 to $35
- Luffy Super Rare — $2 to $4
- Luffy Promo (Super Pre-Release Winner) — $1,000
- Luffy Promo (Pre-Release Participant) — $18 to $20
- Luffy Promo (Tournament Pack Vol. 1) — $12 to $14
- Luffy Promo (Winner Pack Vol. 1) — $7 to $18
- Luffy (Promotion Pack 2022) — $3 to $4
3) Nami
The Straw Hat Pirates’ wily navigator Nami is one of the most expensive character cards available in Romance Dawn. Her Rare Parallel commands a hefty $230 USD price tag despite rares being quite common in the One Piece TCG.
Nami’s alt-art price hike is helped along by two factors. One, the one-cost, two-power card’s powerful dig effect allows her to find other Straw Hat-type cards, which fits perfectly into two of the top decks in the 2023 meta. And two, Nami is simply one of the most popular characters in One Piece.
- Nami foil AA — $230 to $250
- Nami Rare — $3 to $5
- Nami Promo AA — Not yet released
4) Roronoa Zoro
Roronoa Zoro is one of the strongest Red Leaders in the meta right now. His effect gives all characters +1000 power, meaning he can lead a strong aggro list. His alternate-art foil Leader card has cracked $200. His Super Rare, a three-cost 5000 power Red character card with Rush, sees heavy competitive play. Its alt-art version fetches up to $100 while the standard Super Rare is $20.
- Zoro Leader foil AA — $200 to $225
- Zoro Leader — 50c to $1
- Zoro foil AA — $100 to $110
- Zoro Super Rare — $20 to $25
5) Trafalgar Law
Another competitive Leader is Trafalgar Law, whose OP01-002 Leader card helms one of the most interesting dual-color decks in the One Piece TCG metagame. His alt-art Leader card sells for up to $150 USD.
- Law Leader foil AA — $140 to $150
- Law Leader — 20 to 40c
- Law foil AA — $70 to $80
- Law Super Rare — $12 to $14
6) Yamato
Yamato is the second Secret Rare Parallel card in the Romance Dawn collection, though the Wano Country warrior doesn’t command quite the same price tag. Yamato’s Green Secret Rare foil is valued at around $100 USD. The card’s non-alt art version can be bought on the market for closer to $25.
- Yamato foil AA — $80 to $110
- Yamato Secret Rare — $25 to $26
- Yamato Promo (Winner Pack Vol. 1) — $14
- Yamato (Tournament Pack Vol. 1) — $2
7) Donquixote Doflamingo
Doflamingo is the premier Blue Leader in the One Piece TCG metagame at the moment and that status helps his alternate-art version in Romance Dawn clock up quite the price tag—right now it costs around $120 USD.
- Doflamingo Leader foil AA — $100 to $120
- Doflamingo Leader — 50c
- Doflamingo foil AA — $45 to $50
- Doflamingo Rare — $2 to $3
8) Boa Hancock
Here’s another example of where popularity can drive One Piece TCG prices. Boa Hancock is a solid competitive card, especially at four-cost 5000 power and with the blocker ability, but her character card is worth as much as it is—upward of $80 USD for the alternate art version—because she’s many fans’ favorite.
- Hancock foil AA — $78 to $80
- Hancock Super Rare — $6
9) Kouzuki Oden
Originally the daimyo of Kuri in Wano, Oden joined the pirate life first with the Whitebeard Pirates and then later the Roger Pirates. His alt-art green Leader release is the most valuable of his Romance Dawn versions.
- Oden Leader foil AA — $44 to $48
- Oden Leader — $3 to $4
10) Crocodile
As one of the former Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile is certainly one of the stronger One Piece TCG cards in Romance Dawn. However, with Blue/Purple not coming out the gates as a strong color combo, the ex-Baroque Works commander’s Leader card has fallen down the price tag pecking order.
- Crocodile Leader foil AA — $56 to $58
- Crocodile Leader — 20c to 40c
- Crocodile foil AA — $16
- Crocodile Super Rare — $2
- Crocodile Promo (Promotion Pack 2022) — $2
Update April 18, 11:36am CT: All Romance Dawn card prices were updated following the release of the One Piece TCG’s second set, Paramount War.
