Nintendo and Twitch are teaming up to bring Twitch Prime members up to 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online, the platform’s online service, for free. In order to claim the reward, users will need to have both a Twitch Prime and Nintendo account and will need to follow a few quick steps to redeeming the subscription.

Twitch Prime members will only be able to unlock three months for free at first but can redeem the remaining nine months of the offer 60 days afterward.

How to redeem 12 months of free Nintendo Switch Online

To unlock the service, users will need to click on the crown icon in the top right side of the Twitch homepage and then choose the “Learn More” option underneath the Nintendo Switch banner. From there, they will be taken to the offer’s page, where they can claim the first three months of the subscription for free.

Clicking on the three-month option will redirect them to Nintendo’s website, where they will need to log in with their Nintendo account. Users will then be required to activate the subscription’s automatic renewal with either a credit card or PayPal account before redeeming the first three months for free. The automatic renewal service can be turned off, however, up until four days before the subscription is set to renew.

Once users have completed the necessary steps, they will automatically gain access to the platform’s online subscription service.
