After Behdad Jaafarian, the owner of Team Huma, was banned from ownership of the organization by Riot Games in August, it appears that their Challenger League Series spot has been bought to contest for a place in the EU LCS next season. Alongisde fellow football franchise FC Schalke 04, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has acquired Team Huma and will rebranding them into Paris Saint-Germain Esports.
According to report, the deal is similar to FC Schalke 04, as PSG will not directly own the team, but will have their image rights and license being involved.
The deal was reportedly finalised by Bang Bang CEO Casha Brodowski, according to sources, who are known to represent Fnatic support Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim.
As we await further details on the deal, what are your thoughts on PSG entering League through the challenger series? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below or tweet us @GAMURScom.
