This is certainly a twist within the Gears esports scene, as Solurs has been missing in action ever since he vanished without reason shortly before the ESL Season 2 finals. His absence forced his old team, now known as OpTic, to use their coach, Nicholas “Ashes” Ridgeway, as a fourth, where they lost in the grand finals to EnVyUs. There has been bad blood among the OpTic team towards Solurs ever since. Now he not only returns, but will return to play with a team that was his primary rival prior to leaving and potentially face his old squad.
With this announcement, OpTic and EnVyUs are the clear favorites to face each other in the grand finals in what will surely be an emotionally charged series.
