How to “throw the Flying Disc toy and catch it before it lands” for Fortnite’s season 9, week 3 challenge

Throw it correctly and you'll have an easy time.

Fortnite’s season nine, week three challenges will ask players to use toys once again, just like in previous seasons. The set has just become available, so players can already jump into a match to complete them.

This time, the challenge asks players to throw the flying disc toy and catch it before it lands. The Flying Disc is a Battle Pass reward given to players who reach tier 35 with their premium Battle Pass. This toy then becomes accessible through the in-match emote wheel at any time, though you can also put it in your favorite emotes to make it easier to access and use it.

This flying disk moves like a frisbee disk, which means it’ll fly diagonally upward, then downward. It does not bounce on any surface, and throwing it against a wall will make it fall flat on the ground, and you won’t be able to complete the challenge.

The easiest way to catch it is by looking up before you throw it. The disk speed will be slow enough for you to be able to run and catch it before it lands without a problem. It’s easier to do that if you’re on a flat surface, as hills can increase how much you need to run to reach the disk.

When you catch it, a notification will pop up on the top left of your screen to let you know you’ve completed the challenge. Once you leave the match, will receive five Battle Stars as a reward, and you’ll be one step closer to unlocking this week’s secret Battle Star.
