Which LoL champion says, ‘I carry a lot more than these blades’?

Who could it be?

Another day, another round of LoLdle—the daily Wordle-like puzzle where you’re given a single quote from a League of Legends champion, and you’ve got to guess who it belongs to.

Yesterday we saw a mention of blades, and the theme has continued into today with the sharp weapon making an appearance—but who says the line? Here’s the solution for the Aug. 31 edition of LoLdle.

Who says, “I carry a lot more than these blades,” in LoL?

The LoLdle quote on Aug. 31 is, “I carry a lot more than these blades.” The League champion who says this line is Irelia.

We had a blades reference in yesterday’s LoLdle, which was Yasuo, so I cheekily went for the popular mid-laner once again just in case they’d pull a fast one on us and put the same champ back-to-back. After discovering that wasn’t the case, it was Irelia who came next.

She was the first champion that came to mind; after all, her name in League lore is “The Blade Dancer,” and the plural mention (“these blades”) is only really relevant for a few of the game’s characters as most just have a single weapon. Irelia also pegs blades all over the map, so it was a little too obvious today.

\The quote itself is heard whenever Irelia makes a move command, and she’s referencing the burden of grief she carries after her family was slain following the Noxian invasion. In terms of League, Irelia is moderately popular and sits just below parity for win rate in patch 14.16 according to stats site U.GG, so while she won’t be in every game, you’ve probably come across her once or twice in ranked.
