Riot Games has announced a new way for players to earn prestige points in League of Legends to unlock those special gold exclusive character skins.
Every time Riot hosts a new event in League, the Event Shop will offer a one-time purchase of 100 Prestige Points as an
Event Passes will now also come with an exclusive “Milestone Missions” function that will grant extra Prestige Points. The idea behind this is to give players who can’t grind in shorter bursts the ability to “instead grind over time and earn a Prestige Point skin,” according to a Rioter on the League forums.
Both options are being implemented to offer alternative means to get the skins without the need to grind for longer than needed or spend more money.
The method, as detailed over on the League forums, won’t be put into place for when K/DA Evelynn’s prestige skin launches with today’s update but will be released at a later unannounced date. Riot are simply detailing how the system will work for now, so changes could be on its way in the future.
