Riot’s list of casters, announced today, include several other famous personalities but two disappointing, if not expected, exclusions: Christopher “Montecristo” Mykkles, and Erik “DoA” Lonnquist.

Many fans won’t be happy at Montecristo’s absence. He’s widely considered to be the leading expert in South Korean League of Legends. The former CLG head coach has never been shy to publicly criticize Riot, and his involvement with the now banned Renegades may have put an end to his relationship with the game developer.

DoA, for his part, will not appear on account of a scheduling conflict. In their place, Riot has brought in Chris “Papasmithy” Smith, and Nick “LastShadow” De Cesare to represent South Korea. Papasmithy is a caster for OGN, while LastShadow covers the SPOTV broadcast.

The invited casters include some usual suspects from North America: David “Phreak” Turley, Joshua “Jatt” Leesman, Sam “Kobe” Hartman-Kenzler, and the other regular NA LCS talent. Newcomer Isaac “Azael” Cummings-Bentley will also join the team.

Mitch “Krepo” Voorspoels and Martin “Deficio” Lynge, Trevor “Quickshot” Henry, and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere also join from the EU LCS. Challenger Series regulars James “Stress” O’Leary and Richard “Kam” Pulse also make the flight to the U.S.

Indiana “Frostkurinn” Black and Jake “Spawn” Tiberi are amongst the representatives from China’s LPL, while popular analyst Clement Chu joins the broadcast from the LMS. You can see the full list here
