LPL Week 4 Interview: Styz talks about his quadrakill

Note: I take some liberties with the question about his future goals for his upcoming games. Styz says he wants to "keep his record" but what this means is that he wants to keep a good record in order to remain in the LPL.

Let’s congratulate WE for taking their second game against EP today. We’re going to be interviewing WE’s ADC – Styz. Say hi to everyone~

Styz: Hi everyone. I’m WE’s ADC Styz.

You lost your first game, but you were able to bring it back the second game. How are you feeling?

Styz: I’m… okay.

Is the pressure heavy? Because from what we’ve seen, WE’s record isn’t that great. Do you feel a lot of pressure inside?

Styz: The pressure is pretty immense.

But we want to tell all the players – the season has just begun. Don’t get too frantic; you have to stay steady with your mentality. There’s a long season ahead of us, so there will be more opportunities. Your first game was a bit of a shame. Your gold difference was pretty even up until the 20 minute mark – how did you lose that? Could you break it down for us?

Styz: I think our team composition had some problems. Our Rumble and Lee Sin… so if Rumble puts down his equalizer, we can’t follow up as quickly. If Rumble doesn’t initiate… well, basically, the way we played was really passive and almost difficult to bear. At least, it was difficult for me to bear.

I can tell since you’re more of an aggressive player. In the first game, your team composition was better suited for turning fights around. It seems like a lot of the times you waited for the other team to initiate so you played very passive. But in this last game, your style changed. Could you talk to us briefly about that?

Styz: In this last game, we used champions that we use a lot during scrims and practice. We were more familiar since we were able to get the champions we use often. We were able to play pretty well.

You were able to secure yourself a highlight of the game – a quadrakill. Were you satisfied? Were you a little disappointed since you were so close to a pentakill?

Styz: It was alright~ it was my teammates who give me the kills.

But as a whole, I feel like this last game was a remarkable performance for WE. Do you have any goals for the upcoming games?

Styz: We just hope to keep up a decent record so we can at least stay in the LPL.

Don’t be like this! In these competitions, you’re always going to win or lose. Don’t give up hope! Work hard! Cheer for yourself!

Styz: Go, WE~!

I’m sure each player wants to perform at their best in their individual roles. I hope that they can also show their best mentality and their strongest characteristics in the game. Good luck in your upcoming games~

Styz: Thank you~
