Xyraz arrived in his home country of Sweden on Sunday and was taken to an emergency room due to stomach pain. There, tests were performed to diagnose the cause, and after seeing the results for the first time today, the doctors confirmed that he has stomach cancer. Although Xyraz didn’t specify the stage or severity, he did mention that he’ll “immediately begin treatment for it.”

Xyraz spent some time with H2k in 2015 during the team’s run to third place in the regular season alongside Raymond “kaSing” Tsang and a loss in the semifinals of the playoffs. After that, Xyraz’s career has mostly been spent on less notable teams, aside from the 2017 Summer Split he spent as Fnatic’s substitute. He currently plays for Movistar Riders, a pro team based out of Madrid, Spain.

Xyraz didn’t share many details of the diagnosis itself, but he did thank his fans and community for supporting him through these difficult times.
