Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek will not start in the final week of the EU LCS after a diagnosis of tendonitis in his wrist.

Freeze has been battling the injury for most of the year. The player revealed earlier this week that he had suffered the injury while competing in North America last Split for Renegades, and has recently had to take painkillers to get through matches.

With Freeze’s wrist a potential issue, H2k re-signed journeyman FORG1VEN as a replacement in case Freeze was unable to play. Saturday will be the first time the Greek has been called upon.

FORG1VEN played with H2k in the 2016 Spring Split, before an acrimonious split with the team. After first claiming he would sit out the Summer Split he then joined Origen—but lasted just one game before being removed from the team.

“We recognize that Forgiven has not been practicing with the team which makes the situation difficult.” H2k said in a statement announcing the move. “But we also know that this starting five has great talent. We are confident that this team working together will maximize each of their individual skills and establish themselves as the top team in Europe.”

H2k currently occupy a playoff spot, but should their currently spotty form continue they could be at risk of missing out.
