The leaders of the first week of EU LCS, GIANTS, Fnatic and SK Gaming all systematically crushed their opponents in two decisive victories.

Players are listed best to worst; top to bottom based on their statistical performance.

Bolded means they’re leading in that particular category within their role.

Werlyb and Huni are the top lane stars for week 1. Both had incredible performances in all their games and played a huge role for their team’s crushing victories. On the other end of the spectrum YoungBuck remains the whipping boy of the EU LCS but fortunately for him Element’s Wickd holds this week’s spot as the worst top player statistically, having the lowest KDA and Kill Participation of any other player in the EU LCS.

Initially believed to be a terrible jungler due to weak performances in OGN and even nicknamed “GameOver”, Fnatic’s jungler silenced his critics with two great games on Rengar and surprisingly, Olaf. Svenskeren comes in 2nd and continues to be the catalyst for early-mid game play making in a team compromised of skilled yet mostly passive players. Sadly, the strongest jungler of IEM Cologne and formerly the strongest jungler in the world sits at the bottom of the barrel with the worst jungle stats in the three quantifiable categories.

Stomping his way to the top, Febiven had his breakout performance on his first game of the EU LCS by obliterating Elements with Xerath. Froggen, being the superb player he is, still pulled out strong numbers despite going 1-1 with a high score in Kill Participation and CS per minute. Meanwhile the Korean mid laner had two quite uninspiring performances for week 1. And to think just a bit more than a year ago Ryu was considered by some to be the best mid laner behind Faker.

FORG1VEN had an absolutely dominating week. With the highest CS per min and Gold per min in the EU LCS, SK’s newly picked up AD Carry is quickly making a name for himself to claim the of “The Best” at his position. Steelback follows suit by attaining the highest KDA and Kill Participation for this week with 0 deaths.

There is absolutely no doubt that Yell0wStaR is the best support in Europe and perhaps of all the West, and although nRated performed statistically better, it cannot be argued that any other Support played a larger impact than Fnatic’s. Renowned for his ability to make almost any ADC look godly, Yell0wStaR’s week 1 performance is highlighted with decisive flash-Tibbers engages and vision control.
