There is a dabbing penguin emote coming to LoL in the next patch

League of Legends is getting its very own dabbing penguin emote, according to the latest PBE update. And let’s face it, this is incredible.

When emotes went live for the first time ever last month, the entire community of players realized rather quickly that this new feature would be used almost exclusively to meme. Between the “Unbench the Kench” emote, the “Clean” emote, the “?” emote, and countless others, it’s hard to imagine they could have ever been used for something else.

And now, we’ll be able to flash a dabbing penguin above our head.

Think about how many uses you’ll be able to get out of this new emote. The possibilities are almost endless. Did you dive a tower in hopes of making a hero play, only to fall comically short in a death of epic proportions? Dabbing penguin. Did you barely escape a fight with one hp, and you don’t have time to pop a “cy@” into all chat? Dabbing penguin. Did you flash into a group of five as Master Yi and kill them all, and you need the perfect response to the enemy team spamming “unbalanced” in chat? You get the idea.

Of course, you can still flash “Clean” if you want, but it doesn’t have quite the same effect as a dabbing penguin. That is, of course, until dabbing dies out in favor of 2018’s version of a fidget spinner. It will never die out in our hearts, though, and that’s what really counts.

This is, by far, one of the hottest emotes of 2017, if not the best in the game’s long one-month history of emoting.
