A new Priest spell has been revealed for Kobolds and Catacombs

It might be difficult to resist the call of the twilight.

Priest has been at the top of the Hearthstone meta rankings in recent weeks and months with many different deck types being strong for the class. And the latest card revealed from Kobolds and Catacombs helps out a few of those decks.

Twilight’s Call is a spell that costs three mana and summons 1/1 copies of two friendly minions with a Deathrattle effect that died this game. The first point to note is that the two copies summoned will count towards the Priest quest card, Awaken the Makers. Although this card hasn’t been used often since the emergence of Razakus Priest, this deck type remains strong because N’Zoth the Corruptor is still around.

The card’s effect will count towards that quest and get you closer to completing it, giving you Amara, Warden of Hope, which can be a game-saver late in the match. The strength of Twilight’s Call can depend on which cards you bring back, but many Deathrattle cards are still effective even if they only have a 1/1 statline.

The other deck this card may be used in is Big Priest. Alongside Barnes, Twilight’s Call can reactivate some of those big cards you want to bring out. This would primarily be used to summon more Obsidian Statues, which help control a board even with a weak statline.

There’s strong potential for this card in certain decks and it can help make those decks stronger in the meta, meaning we could see a lot of Twilight’s Call.

Kobolds and Catacombs will be released Dec. 7. You can pre-order packs now to receive a special card back.
