When the Shaman quest card was released in Journey to Un’Goro, players braced themselves for an onslaught of Murloc Shaman.
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your stance, that never materialized. But a series of new cards from the latest expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne, could well change that in the new meta.
Ice Fishing is one of the most powerful card draw spells added to the game so far.
The card draw along is amazing value. Two mana for two cards drawn is better value than most other card draw spells like Arcane Intellect and Sense Demons. Those both cost three mana.
The specificity of the card draw is great too. Being able to know you will draw Murlocs with the spell means you can thin your deck in a specific way, and potentially target a specific range of cards to bring in to your hand. All for two mana.
Combine this with yesterday’s Brrloc reveal, and Murloc Shaman could be a very real thing in the next meta game.
