The Darkness is the biggest minion ever created in Hearthstone

Card reveal season is almost over.

Kobolds and Catacombs has some pretty crazy cards, but this neutral legendary might beat them all.

Kobolds and Catacombs, Hearthstone’s next expansion, releases this Thursday (Dec. 7) in the Americas region. It will then launch in Europe and other regions on Dec. 8.

A four mana 20/20, holy crap we’re all going to die.

But wait. The card starts dormant, so it’s not as crazy as it looks straight away. it shuffles three Candles into the enemy deck, and when those candles are drawn The Darkness becomes active.

The set includes 135 new cards, including two legendaries for each of the game’s nine classes—a legendary minion and a legendary weapon.

Kobolds and Catacombs is the final set of the 2017/18 standard set calendar, the Year of the Mammoth. When the next expansion arrives in the Spring, the game’s three oldest expansions will rotate out.
