Kobolds and Catacombs: Legend Decks (Aggro/Tempo)

With the Kobolds and Catacombs meta slowly settling down, we’re back with three decks you should be trying out before the season ends for climbing the ranks quickly to get your desired ranked chests.

Face Hunter

Face Hunter, and Hunter in general was in a weakened spot in the past few expansions. But with the arrival of Kobolds and Catacombs, we got access to some really powerful and aggressive cards that have helped bring back Hunter into the meta. And it’s not Spell Hunter or Mid-Range Hunter, but it’s an extremely aggressive Face Hunter decklist that is dominating the meta. This variant in particular was used to hit Rank 1 Legend by Mariana.

So what has changed? Thanks to the addition of Candleshot, Hunter can now run Southsea Deckhand along with the Pirate package of Southsea Captain and Patches the Pirate that everyone just loves to run in any class at all right now. Corridor Creeper is another powerhouse card that is being put into pretty much any tempo deck right now. Being able to put out very cheap 5/5 minions and then having Houndmaster to buff it or using Adapt using Crackling Razormaw can definitely allow you to go on the offensive without investing much mana. Corridor Creeper is also good with Unleash the Hounds for cost reduction purposes. With consistent winrates across the ranks and plenty of Top 10 lists floating around across the servers, the deck is definitely very strong right now.

Secrets Mage

Secrets Mage received a huge boost with the addition of explosive-runes. It is a solid minion removal tool and burn damage spell packed into one card. aluneth is also a great addition to the deck with Secrets Mage being known for running out of Steam in the mid game at times if you do not draw well enough. With multiple cards that can reduce the cost of Secrets, allowing you to fit in more cards than you should be able to play a turn, you can easily empty your hand and be left with nothing to play. Being able to draw three cards a turn allows you to ensure you have enough fuel to keep chugging until you find the burst damage to close out the game. Corridor Creeper features in this deck as well thanks to the number of cheap minions in the deck that can reduce its cost very fast.

Aggro Paladin

Aggro Paladin made a comeback after several expansions thanks to several new cards. We mostly saw Murloc Paladin decks in the past few months and pure Aggro Paladin decks had fallen out of favor with core cards being phased out of rotation as well as other classes being better at aggressive builds. Consistent card draw has always been a problem for Paladin and divine-favor doesn’t quite always cut it against faster decks. With call-to-arms in the deck, you not only have draw power but the card directly plays the minions into the battlefield.
