Obsidian Statue is a nine mana 4/8 minion with Taunt and Lifesteal. Its Deathrattle effect allows you to destroy a random enemy minion once Obsidian Statue bites the dust.

Lifesteal is a new effect coming in the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion that heals your hero whenever your minion deals damage—so having Taunt and Lifesteal can be a deadly combination.

On the other hand, Obsidian Statue costs nine mana, which is the worst mana cost in Hearthstone. There aren’t a lot of good one-mana cards to pair with something that costs nine mana, which basically means you’d be investing your entire turn into playing Obsidian Statue—and generally speaking, 10-mana cards are just better.

Despite its high cost, Obsidian Statue still has a lot of potential. This epic Priest minion could have a major impact on the current Hearthstone meta once the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion is released.
