Notable Decklists

Druid, Priest and Warlock are the frontrunners of the tournament with the high pick rates across the board. It is a toss up between Jade Druid and Aggro Druid with both archetypes seeing a lot of popularity. With the recent release of Kobolds and Catacombs, Aggro Token Druid became a lot stronger and is now seeing more competitive play. Razakus Priest has always been a tournament favorite with various iterations of the deck being seen over the months across expansions. And finally, Warlock has risen from the dead from seeing barely any competitive play to being one of the most popular classes right now thanks to Cubelock becoming a powerful deck this expansion.

Aggro Token Druid (Ant)

Aggro Token Druid got a huge boost with the addition of Corridor Creeper and Dire Mole. dire-mole makes mark-of-yshaarj a lot more consistent and you can establish your early game board presence a lot more consistently by turn 2. It is a very aggressive deck and can win games as early as turn 5. With Living Mana allowing you to refill your board in case things go wrong and your board gets cleared, you always have a backup and your mass buff cards like Mark of the Lotus and Savage Roar allow you to close out the game very quickly with burst damage.

Cube Warlock (Surrender)

Cube Warlock has become the talk of the town with its sudden burst of dominance on ladder. With very little representation in tournaments, Warlock’s mark on Hearthstone in the previous metas was all but fading. Zoolock did not have the strength it used to have with no new cards strengthening the archetype and Control-style Warlock decks just didn’t manage to be good enough. With the arrival of a ton of powerful cards in the expansion, Cube Warlock has become one of the best decks to play right now.

You have the ability to pull out big Demons using skull-of-manari and then use your Carnivorous Cube to consume them and follow up with Dark Pact to not only heal up, but duplicate your minions. With a ton of removal and healing in the deck, you have the ability to stall out aggressive decks and win games on the back of massive board swings. It is one of the most unique decks Hearthstone has ever seen so be sure to try it out!

Highlander Priest (Purple)

Highlander Priest doesn’t have too many variations in the competitive scene unlike ladder, because of how much better the “OTK” version of the deck happens to be. Being able to burst down your opponent from almost full health or simply applying a ton of pressure each turn on your opponent’s health pool utilizing shadowreaper-anduin, raza-the-chained and a bunch of cheap cards is what the deck does best. With most pro players choosing to throw in as much card draw as possible along with removals and the combo pieces, this is the most efficient version of Razakus Priest out there.

We will be bringing you a compilation of decklists that outperform others in the tournament shortly after the tournament concludes so stay tuned for more HCT action!
