After weeks of anticipation, we finally know when the next Hearthstone expansion will arrive. And guess what? You’ve only got to wait five more days to wait.
Most people in the Hearthstone community long expected The Grand Tournament would release on  Aug. 24. This was based on the timeline of previous expansions and the pace of card reveals. The final clue came when this week’s Tavern Brawl contained two pre-made decks with the brand new cards. With the Brawl ending on Monday, it seemed likely that the release would not be too far behind.
In an attempt to head off the same type of problems that dogged the last expansion, Goblins vs Gnomes, the release patch has arrived well in advance. Players can already pre-order a bundle of 50 card backs in advance for a discounted price. Last December, the sheer amount of players trying to buy new cards overwhelmed the game’s systems.
With 132 new cards added, the game is sure to be shaken up with new and unexpected decks rising to the top of the meta.
