With the new Blackrock Mountain adventure expansion weeks away, Blizzard has begun revealing some of the cards that will be making their way into Hearthstone very soon.

Two more cards have been revealed today, both with an emphasis on the dragon theme and class type that Blizzard had previously stated will be the focus of the expansion.

The two cards appear to come as part of the Blackrock Spire wing.

First up is the Dragon Egg. While on first appearances a strictly worse version of the Nerubian Egg from the Curse of Naxxramas expansion, it does have potential to be more versatile. It can, when used the right way, spawn two minions instead of one—or even more with creative use of the buffs available to classes like Priest.

There’s also a brand-new dragon type card, Dragonkin Sorcerer. In the vein of the Burly Rockjaw Trogg from Goblins vs Gnomes, this card gains a stat buff of +1/+1 when it is targeted with a spell. Again, this feels pretty good for Priest. Power Word: Shield, Divine Spirit, Inner Fire—the combos are there, but whether they will be playable remains to be seen. The four-drop slot is pretty crowded right now with cards like Piloted Shredder, so this card will have a fight on its hands to see play.

The blog post also seems to confirm that Rend Blackhand, the legendary card revealed at the PAX East launch event and almost universally panned, will be part of Blackrock Spire.
