Permanent fix for Hearthstone’s daily quests might not come until the new year

Quests have been bugged out since the new expansion landed.

Hearthstone expansions are exciting. They add new content into the game, like dozens of new cards and new game modes.

Unfortunately the most recent expansion, Kobolds and Catacombs, also ended up breaking a fundamental game feature.

Ever since the expansion launched two weeks ago, many players have had issues with their daily quests. Every day each player should get a new quest to complete for some gold—but some players haven’t been getting new quests.

Blizzard is aware of the issue and trying to resolve it—but it might not happen right away.

“We’re currently working on short-term solutions…and we plan on implementing better long-term solutions in the new year.” community manager Jesse Hill said in a forum post. “We understand how important daily quests are to the experience of Hearthstone, and we’re sorry for any confusion or frustration affected players might have experienced.”

In the absence of any fix for the problem, Blizzard offered players a number of makeshift solutions. According to Blizzard if quests still don’t appear 30 minutes after logging in, players can try playing a game in Ranked, Casual, or Arena modes to reset their quests.

Players had previously found that changing your game language could also fix the issue.

It’s not all doom and gloom however—to say sorry for the issues and the time being taken to fix them, Blizzard is giving every player three free Kobolds and Catacombs packs in early January.
