New Priest Legendary Catrina Muerte revealed for Hearthstone’s Rise of Shadows expansion

The new card train rolls on as Blizzard continues to unveil cards from the upcoming Rise of Shadows expansion.

The latest reveal is Catrina Muerte, a new Legendary minion for the Priest class.

It’s an eight-mana minion with six Attack and eight Health—and fans of Resurrect Priest are going to adore it. At the end of your turn, Catrina will summon a friendly minion that died previously in the game. This effect potentially opens the door for some incredibly high-value plays.

Catrina Muerte isn’t the only card revealed thus far that looks like it could find a home in Resurrection Priest. Blizzard recently revealed a Priest spell from Rise of Shadows called Mass Resurrection. The spell costs nine mana and summons three friendly minions that died previously in the game. Blizzard is clearly putting in support for the Resurrection archetype and it looks like it might be one of the class’ strongest options heading into the new expansion.

Blizzard might even have more in store for Priest—but luckily, we won’t have to wait very long to find out. You can play Hearthstone’s Rise of Shadows expansion starting April 9.
