Jason “Amaz” Chan’s Team Archon has added two new members, both of whom have already moved into the team’s house in Texas.
Paul “Zalae” Nemeth joins the team as Archon’s newest player. An active streamer, Nemeth gained recognition following his semi final appearance at the ESL Legendary Series season 1 finals and the innovative decks he brought to the tournament.
Also joining the team is Ryan “Purpledrank” Murphy-Root, but he will be joining as team coach. Known mostly within the Hearthstone scene as the head of World Champion James “Firebat” Kostesich’s practice group, Murphy-Root has joined up with Kostesich in Texas.
Both players have already taken up residence in Archon’s Texas team house.
Also staying in the house is Andrew “Kitkatz” Deschanel. It had been widely expected he would join Archon after he was released from Tempo Storm, but he has yet to do so. Streamer and cosplayer “UrbanElf” is also living in the house, but is not a part of Archon.
Kostesich and team manager Brent “Backspace” Kaskel also live in the house. Chan is still living in Hong Kong, and there are currently no plans for him to move to the team house permanently. Sebastian “Xixo” Bentert, the team’s only European player, is still living in the house of his former team, ROOT Gaming.
With a captain, a coach and five top players, Archon certainly looks like a formidable organization at this point. And the packed house should only help.
