The 2023 version of Phasmophobia’s Halloween update and event promises some epic rewards, so you’ll want to know when the new content will be available for you to explore so you can begin hunting down ghosts as soon as possible.

When is Phasmophobia’s Halloween 2023 update and event?

There is no officially announced date for the 2023 Halloween Phasmophobia update and event so far, but the devs did say they plan to launch it on or around Oct. 26.

When the game’s console release was delayed again on Oct. 17, the devs shared a blog about this delay alongside an update on the Halloween event.

In this blog, the team said the event would launch “on or around” Oct. 26, right after the devs get back from TwitchCon in Las Vegas so they can be “available to quickly hotfix any bugs that may arise during the first few days of play.”

How long will Phasmophobia’s Halloween 2023 event last?

The devs haven’t shared how long the 2023 version of the Halloween event will last just yet, but past holiday events have usually been active for around a few weeks to nearly a month.

The Halloween 2022 event launched on Oct. 7 and ran until Nov. 4, while the Christmas 2022 event began on Dec. 14 and ended on Jan. 9. Based on this, it seems likely the Halloween 2023 event will run until at least halfway through November, if not a bit longer.

What is Phasmophobia’s Halloween 2023 event?

Phasmophobia’s Halloween event for 2023 will task players with gathering recipe cards from various locations to brew a special potion in a cauldron on the newly renovated Maple Lodge Campsite map.

The recipe cards will be found on other maps and all of them will need to be brought right back to Maple Lodge Campsite, so it’ll take a lot of investigating before you will be able to finish the entire event. The main hub will be decked out for the spooky season as it usually is, but Maple Lodge Campsite will also be getting a map redesign and some spooky decorations for the event.

What are the rewards for Phasmophobia’s Halloween 2023 event?

If you successfully complete the entire Halloween 2023 event in Phasmophobia, you’ll be rewarded with a special Halloween-themed ID card and a Halloween-themed trophy, which will remain on display in a glass case in the main Phasmophobia hub. This event seems to be quite similar in nature to past holiday events, which have all asked players to explore numerous maps to find hidden holiday-themed items to then unlock holiday-themed assets.

The most challenging aspect of these events is simply tracking down the special holiday item while also trying to escape ghosts during ghost hunts, and the 2023 version of this event seems to be following the usual pattern. Because of this, you’ll want to be prepared for quite a challenge when the event launches.
