Fortnite: Battle Royale players don’t have to wait until season eight, week eight challenges are available to find out how the Discovery skin Ruin looks like. Epic has already unveiled it in the Discovery challenges section in the game.

Data miners and leakers HYPEX, Kleinmike, and PXLPAT found the images of Ruin inside the v8.30 Fortnite update files and revealed them earlier today. They also found that players who unlock Ruin will also unlock a special back bling that looks like a shield with magma inside. Both of these leaks were confirmed as soon as the servers went live with the v8.30 update, and players were able to see the models of both cosmetic items in-game.

Ruin itself seems to be made of magma. It has a heavy body armor and helmet that covers its body completely, giving us no clue about who’s inside. Whoever it is, it’s inhuman enough to live in magma without dying.

This is the first time we see Ruin’s model, but we knew what it looked like to some extent. Epic revealed a few images of the skin last week while teasing it to players, revealing that it had something to do with fire and magma. One of these images appeared to show Ruin inside an excavation site that players have been digging up, but we have it to learn how both of them are connected.

Players can only unlock Ruin after completing 55 weekly Battle Pass challenges, which means only those with a premium season eight Battle Pass can grab it. Players will have access to 56 weekly challenges in total starting on week eight, and then they’ll have until season eight ends to unlock Ruin in their Locker. After that, the skin should be impossible to obtain again through this method.

Even though players can already see Ruin, they can only unlock it when the week eight challenges are available. That will only happen on April 18.
