Fortnite: Battle Royale players might experience some issues with party services and in-game chat this morning due to a scheduled maintenance in these services, Epic Games said. The company says players “may notice some limited functionality” until the maintenance is over.
This fix comes a few hours after the company fixed matchmaking issues in the game, which were causing longer queues. It’s unclear at this time if these problems are related.
Epic hasn’t specified if this will fix a specific bug with party services or if it’s just routine maintenance. A few players on the competitive Fortnite subreddit have complained that they experienced problems in matchmaking during the World Cup Qualifiers this weekend, but Epic never referred to them when announcing this fix.
Apart from that, there were no massive reports of issues with party systems and queues in duos and squads. Epic will likely post on its Twitter account once again after the update is over and all systems are operational. Players can also keep an eye on the situation by visiting Epic’s Public Status Page.
