An important task in the Kappa quest tree for Escape from Tarkov is Prapor’s “Possessor” quest. Prapor says he’s never seen a helicopter flown in to pick anyone up before and is intrigued as to who the downed chopper in Factory belongs to.
He thinks there’s a logbook somewhere stored on the chopper and has tasked you to find it. Here’s how to complete the Possessor quest in Escape from Tarkov.
Escape from Tarkov: Possessor quest guide
There are two steps to completing the Possessor quest in Escape from Tarkov: You must find the Pilot’s logbook in the Factory and extract it out. Once you’ve handed the logbook over to Prapor, the quest is complete.
Depending on your spawn and the number of Scavs in your way, this can be a very easy quest to complete, but be sure you’re ready for a gunfight as Factory isn’t an easy map to navigate. Let’s begin!
Locate and obtain the helicopter logbook
Begin a raid in Factory. The helicopter logbook can be found in the crashed helicopter on the top floor of the factory in the center of the main room. You’ll want to climb any nearby staircase to the top floor and skirt the scaffolding to gain access to the chopper.
The chopper will have a large red light that continually flickers; to the left of that is a large girder that the helicopter has crashed into. This girder will be how you access the chopper. Under the pilot’s seat close to the girder will be a blue binder—that’s the Pilot’s logbook you’ll need.
Grab it, add it to your backpack or chest harness, and make for the extract.
Extract and hand the logbook to Prapor
Depending on your extract locations, your closest exfil will probably be the Office Window, which is left once you return to the top floor main catwalk from the girder. Alternatively, if you can make it downstairs, head to the Med Tent Gate if open.
Be aware that Scavs and the map’s boss, Tagilla, may be patrolling the main floor beneath you as you loot the helicopter. Be sure the way is clear before progressing to an exfil. If you die with the logbook, you’ll need to start over again.
Turn in the Pilot’s logbook to Prapor and your quest will be complete. Prapor will reward you with a massive 49,000 Roubles and a Metal fuel tank, as well as some vendor reputation.
