Diablo 4 Season Two is shaping up to be the most fun players have had in a long while, and developers don’t plan on rolling out any nerfs to kill the fun.
After Diablo 4’s abysmal first season, many players believed there was no way Blizzard could ever make a comeback in the second season. While there were hiccups leading into the new content update with it being delayed, as well as several errors, it has surprisingly been pretty good, and players mostly love it.
It was around this time last season that we heard Blizzard would be shipping out changes. Not this time though: Joe Shely, one of the Diablo 4 designers, took to Twitter on Oct. 23 to say they were planning to avoid shipping any nerfs.
This announcement is such a relief for many because Diablo 4’s first season brought sweeping nerfs that dented the power of every single class in the action-heavy game. Many credit those nerfs, in particular, as why they gave up on the title.
Now, slowly but surely, past Diablo 4 players are returning again to try the new Pacts and Vampiric Powers, which many agree have been beyond epic this season. Many have loved the Blood Harvest events so much they want to see elements brought to the Helltide Events to make them more fun, enjoyable, and less lonely.
No one, not even most players, expected to like the Season of Blood as much as they do, and they are even asking the devs if they can keep the Vampiric Powers.
Others have said they want to see these Vampiric Powers—or something similar—hit the Eternal Realm for new classes.
One way they could squeeze them in is with a new “Blood Knight” class, which did make its way to Diablo Immortal earlier this year. I actually wrote about how good it would be if this class was added to Diablo 4 in a future update, and now Blizzard has the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and make everyone even happier.
Either way though, players are loving the new Diablo 4 season and the devs have taken notice and don’t want to rock the boat with too many changes this time.
