The Solstice event is back in Destiny 2, and alongside new armor and weapons, it also bears annoying bugs. One of the bugs requires you to add Kindling to Sunlit Armor via an annoying notification.
Kindling and Sunlit Armor are from last year’s Destiny 2 Solstice event, and they don’t exist in the 2024 version. This year’s armor is the Sublime Armor, while Kindling is replaced with Incandescence. The Sublime Armor also doesn’t have any custom mod slots, unlike the Sunlit Armor.
Here’s how to fix the “Adding Kindling” notification bug in Destiny 2.
How to fix ‘Adding Kindling’ bug in Destiny 2
To fix the bug, progress the Celebrating Solstice quest. After completing the quest step to reset your Solstice Forge bounties, the tutorial notification should go away, and you can start farming Armor Alloy or event weapons.
This means you have to spend five Silver Leaves resetting the Solstice Forge bounties once, but don’t worry, as you can easily farm them by playing almost any activity in the game. Completing this introductory quest also grants 50 additional Silver Leaves.
How to get Solstice glow for Sublime Armor
Since Kindling isn’t present in Solstice 2024, there’s a slightly different way of getting that classic Solstice glow on your armor. Follow the quest steps to get 100 Armor Alloys for any specific piece and complete the quest to get the armor for the first time.
Once you have the armor piece, Solstice Forge offers the Incandescence quest. You need 50 corresponding Armor Alloy to pick the quest up, and it always requires you to stoke 20 Igniters in the Bonfire Bash activity. Complete the quest and claim the Incandescence in the Solstice Forge.
Do this for every armor piece, and now all of your Sublime Armor glows with clean white light. After getting the armor for the first time, you can start farming high-stat armor by completing Solstice Forge bounties, too.
