GAMURS welcomes eSports-Nation and eSports.guru

With the acquisitions of eSports-Nation and eSports.guru, we aim to expand our coverage to more eSports titles, such as Call of Duty, Halo and Hearthstone, as well as, develop our live event and breaking news reporting capabilities.

These acquisitions are aligned with GAMURS’s devotion to delivering the most comprehensive eSports news coverage to its readership. eSports-Nation and eSports.guru’s talented staff and production models will be fully integrated into GAMURS current production of Counter Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends content from leading CS:GO expert Duncan ‘Thorin’ Shields, Dota 2 host and statistician Alan ‘Nahaz’ Bester, GoldPer10.com founder Ryan Tang and several developing creators. This will not only expand GAMURS’s coverage to include content about Call of Duty, Halo and Heathstone, but will also mark a move for GAMURS into live event reporting.

Bester, a Professor of Economics at Western University and Dota 2 expert, claims that as eSports continues to grow as an entertainment form, it’s viewership will demand the volume and quality of content match that of traditional professional sports. According to Bester, “The successful brands will be those who commit to providing quality content and building a reputation in esports communities, rather than those focusing on pageviews and short term return.”

By investing in the talented staffs of eSports-Nation and eSports.guru, GAMURS Founder and CEO Riad Chikhani aims to do just that. On the acquisition, he states, “eSports-Nation’s efforts to provide hundreds of thousands of fans live tournament updates was compelling enough for us to align our visions together. On the other side of the spectrum, individuals are also playing an integral role in disseminating eSports analysis across the community – eSports.guru breathes this.”

eSports-Nation co-Owners, Shawn Glenn and Owen Fish note that Chikani’s vision for eSports content creation shares, “the same line of sight in all directions” with their own. “The focus now is on realizing the full potential of this powerful mix for our clients, our people and our investors,” Fish says, who will continue to lead operational performance at GAMURS. “Together, we can continue to provide the services and solutions our clients and fans have been used to receiving from us, and also create new offerings that have limited us before whilst bolstering new avenues our industry continues to throw at us.”

While these acquisitions mark a greater focus on established creators for GAMURS, the site will continue to support developing content creators via its open posting policy. Creators at any skill level will be able to post alongside established brands, monetize their content and, given success, find opportunities to grow their role at GAMURS. But GAMURS’ reach doesn’t end at content. Contributors and readers alike are also able to find fellow players and teams to join them in their favorite eSports titles, as well as keep track of their in-game statistics on other sites on the GAMURS network, such as HearthStats.com and csgo-stats.com.

With the integration of eSports-Network and eSports.guru, GAMURS.com will continue to bring the most comprehensive Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Halo, Hearthstone and League of Legends eSports news coverage, analysis and experience to it’s readership.
