Fnatic’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad will use their coach as a stand-in for the ELEAGUE group stage.
The teams’ return to the TBS league will see them compete without rifler Dennis “dennis” Edman, one of their top performers in recent months, citing “personal reasons” for his absence. This comes just two weeks after the team backed out of the ESL Pro League Season 4 finals, as they hadn’t found a replacement for dennis in time for the event.
While dennis is still not able to attend the ELEAGUE group stage, this time the team has a replacement lined up in the shape of Fnatic’s current coach Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson, who is considered a veteran in Swedish Counter-Strike due to his decade-long career in the game’s franchise.
Fnatic’s challenge at ELEAGUE Season 2 just became a lot harder, however, as the team shares their group with two particularly troublesome opponents in the resurgent EnVyUs squad and EPICENTER Season 1 champions Team Dignitas. Despite their legendary past, Fnatic will now be hard pressed to advance to the playoffs.
