SK Gaming topped Group A with a victory over Team EnVyUs on Cobblestone at 16-12. Marcelo “coldzera” David dropped a whopping 34-20 kill death ratio and a 118 average damage per round in his team’s close, but convincing, win. In their next match against Cloud9, the Brazilians demolished the North Americans on Train with a 16-5 scoreline, after they displayed a very strong defensive half at 13-2.

FaZe Clan also swept their own group, Group B, with easy wins against Virtus Pro and Astralis. The Finn “Karrigan” Andersen-led squad kicked off their time in New York with a 16-5 win on Cache against VP and a 16-6 win on Inferno against Astralis. Between Cache and Inferno, Håvard “rain” Nygaard shined the brightest within the star lineup, averaging 26 kills and 124 ADR per map.

SK and FaZe will play the winners of today’s decider matches in the semifinals tomorrow at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
