ESL Winter Pro League Finals Preview

This weekend, the final eight teams that still stand in the ESL CS:GO Pro League will gather together in Cologne, Germany.

This weekend, the final eight teams that still stand in the ESL CS:GO Pro League will gather together in Cologne, Germany. On Sunday, we will find out who will be crowned champions of the first pro league season hosted by the Electronic Sports League.

The Event

The event will be played from April 10 to April 12, 2015 and will be held at the official ESL Studio based in Cologne, Germany.

The Layout

Eight of the top teams that managed to hold on in the online group stages have been placed into two groups, Group A and Group B. The winner and runner-up of these two groups will then be placed into a four team playoff bracket to determine the winner of the Winter Pro League.

Both groups feature top teams from across Europe, including the Gfinity Spring Masters I winners, Team EnVyUs.

The broadcast team includes a vast array of talented and well-known commentators, analysts and observers in the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive community. Here is a full list of members and their roles in the broadcast team.

The Schedule

Friday – 10:00 AM CEST: Friday’s matches will feature the opening and winners matches of the groups.

Saturday – 10:00 AM CEST: Saturday’s matches will feature the elimination and decider matches of the groups.

Sunday – 12:00 PM CEST: Sunday’s matches will feature the Semi-Finals and the Grand Finals.

Tickets

There are still some tickets available to the public for all three days. Within the purchase of the ticket, you will be able to receive free drinks and snacks throughout the whole event, though you must be at least 16 years old, otherwise you will not be granted entry into the venue.
