Day One of the ESL One Cologne North American Qualifier consisted of the group matches, which will, and has, determined a team’s fate in the offline qualifier. The second and final day presents us with nail biting matches and we will also find out which of the teams competing will acquire the two spots remaining.
Group A
Cloud 9 vs. Noble eSports
Cobblestone:
– First Half: C9 (T) won pistol, took Noble (CT) 13 – 2.
– Overall: 16 – 2 | C9 (CT) advanced to the Group A Winners match.
Tempo Storm vs. Team Liquid Pro
Cache:
– First Half: Liquid (T) won pistol, took Tempo (CT) 10 – 5.
– Overall: 16 – 11 | Liquid (CT) advanced to the Group A Winners match.
Cloud9 vs. Team Liquid Pro
Dust2:
– First Half: Liquid (T) won pistol, C9 (CT) took it 9 – 6.
– Overall: 16 – 10 | C9 (T) advanced to the second Semi-Final match.
Noble eSports vs. Tempo Storm
Cache:
– First Half: Tempo (CT) won pistol, took Noble (T) 10 – 5
– Overall: 16 – 10 | Tempo (T) advanced to the Group A Decider match.
After their loss over Tempo Storm. Noble eSports were the first team to be eliminated from the ESL One Cologne North American Qualifier.
Group B
Counter Logic Gaming vs. eLevate
Overpass:
– First Half: CLG (T) won pistol, took eLv (CT) 9 – 6.
– Overall: 16 – 11 | CLG (CT) advanced to the Group B Winners match.
Maximum Effort vs. Mythic
Cache:
– First Half: Mythic (CT) won pistol, Maximum (T) took it 8 – 7
– Overall: 16 – 13 | Mythic (T) advanced to the Group B Winners match.
Counter Logic Gaming vs. Mythic
Dust2:
– First Half: Mythic (CT) won pistol, CLG (T) took it 11 – 4.
– Overall: 16 – 14 | CLG (T) advance to the first Semi-Final match.
Maximum Effort vs. eLevate
Cobblestone:
– First Half: eLv (CT) won pistol, took Maximum (T) 13 – 2.
– Overall: 16 – 3 | eLv (T) advance to the first Semi-Final match.
After their loss over eLevate, Maximum Effort were eliminated from the ESL One Cologne North American Qualifier.
