The tournament will be the first international event hosted in Thailand and will feature a $100,000 prize pool. It will begin sometime this November.

The series will be called the Toyota Master Banghok 2018 and will feature 10 teams in total. Four of which will be invited with the other six teams gaining entry through online qualifiers.

Renegades, who recently won the Asia Minor Championship in July, are the first team to be revealed for the tournament. The other three invited teams will be revealed sometime soon.

The online regional qualifiers will be held in NA, Europe, China, SEA, CIS, and Thailand. Registration for these open online qualifiers will begin on Sept. 7, with each region having its own qualifying window.

The 10 teams that qualify will head to the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok to play in front of a live audience. The stadium seats about 10,000 people.

Toyota has sponsored esports events in the past—the company was one of the major sponsors for the inaugural Overwatch League season.
