While also competing in his memory, 256 teams took to an online tournament for a share of a $10,000 prize pool. Some of the tournament teams were made up of PHiZZURP’s friends, most notably a team headed by Adam “KiLLa” Sloss. KiLLa’s side also had Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler, Tyler “FeLonY” Johnson and Vinny “VinZilla,” and beat Team EnVyUs in the fourth round before falling in the fifth.

There was another pro pickup team comprised of James “Replays” Crowder, Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparratto, James “Clayster” Eubanks and “Frozone” who made a run to the finals. However, they could not get the win over a team of SnD specialists, known as ✗♥O 10K, who walked home with $6,500 for first place.

Here are the full standings from the event:

  • 1st:  ✗♥O 10K – $6,500
  • 2nd: FazeOne – $2,500
  • 3rd/4th – $500

  • 5th-8th
    • PuGaming
    • 10K
    • MuMuGang

The final match of the tournament also featured one other tribute to PHiZZURP. At the beginning of the first round, smokes were dropped in the middle of the map to honor the memory of PHiZZURP, who was known for this tactic in his professional play.

In one of the greatest ways to honor a fallen player, this tournament brought out both the pro and SnD communities to give respect to PHiZZURP.

Should this annual event be held on Modern Warfare Remastered or Infinite Warfare next year?
