After a disappointing, seventh place finish at the 2015 Call of Duty World Championship®, OpTic Gaming has officially announced their newest addition to the team, Damon “ Karma” Barlow. Karma will be taking leave from his former team, OpTic Nation. He will be replacing Matthew “ NaDeSHoT” Haag as the roster’s new fourth for the remainder of the season.
After NaDeSHoT’s announcement of deciding to take a hiatus from competitive Call of Duty, OpTic Gaming’s roster consisting of the newly appointed captain, Seth “Scumpii” Abner, Ian “Crimsix” Porter and Matthew “FormaL” Piper were looking for another championship minded player. And that player was Karma.
Karma is arguably one of Call of Duty eSports’ best competitive players to date. Formerly being a player for compLexity Gaming and Evil Geniuses, Karma is no amateur when it comes to winning championships (2x Call of Duty World Champion, Bronze at MLG X Games, and seven other major events).
It has been unannounced as to what the player’s positions and future plans will now be within the OpTic Gaming roster, with Karma not primarily being an objective minded player. We will be sure to update you over at our Twitter – @eSportsNation.
