The Black Ops 4 season is officially underway following the conclusion of the first Call of Duty World League 2,000 series online tournament—and one of the most popular teams took home the title.

OpTic Gaming beat Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale, Chance “Maux” Moncivaez, Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak, Jared “Nagafen” Harrell, and Colt “Havok” McLendon to win the first NA CWL 2K tournament for Black Ops 4.

Seth “Scump” Abner, Ian “Crimsix” Porter, Damon “Karma” Barlow, Thomas “TJHaLy” Haly, and Brandon “Dashy” Otell reached the grand finals by taking down eUnited in the semifinals, while SpaceLy’s team pulled off some upsets over Splyce and 100 Thieves.

The Green Wall opened the grand finals with a hard-fought 250-155 win on Hacienda Hardpoint—Crimsix led OpTic with 5,851 damage dealt while Scump went 33/19. OpTic then took a dominant 6-1 victory on Gridlock Search and Destroy to go up 2-0 in the series.

With all momentum on their side, the Green Wall took Jungle Control 3-2 to secure the series sweep and the first NA CWL 2K title in Black Ops 4. And it’s even more impressive that OpTic went through this entire online tournament without losing a single map.

OpTic will take home 2,000 pro points each and $2,000 as a team for their first-place finish—but that’s not the most important aspect of this tournament. Many fans were thrilled to watch this event, with Scump having over 100,000 viewers on his livestream of the grand finals.

Although this was just a simple online tournament, OpTic fans are likely extremely excited about the win following a lackluster WWII season. The Green Wall hopes that this result will carry over into the first official LAN event for Black Ops 4: CWL Las Vegas, which begins on Dec. 7.
